A plug specifically refers to a connection method that supports quick plugging and unplugging without tools, such as USB, RJ45 network ports, and audio jacks. This is the most common and frequently used type of connector.
From a functional importance perspective:
Plugs, due to their detachable, easy-to-maintain, and modular design capabilities, play a crucial role in consumer electronics, communication equipment, and industrial control systems.
However, as a whole, a connector also includes non-detachable soldered connections and board-to-board connections, which are equally indispensable in high-reliability, high-density integration scenarios (such as aerospace and medical equipment).
