Applications Of Stud Bolts

Stud bolts are primarily suitable for connecting components where one of the parts is thick, making through holes impossible to machine, or where frequent disassembly is required. Both ends are threaded; one end screws into the engine block, and the other end is secured with a nut.

For example, in the connection of an engine block and cylinder head, a double-ended stud is permanently screwed into the cylinder block's threaded hole at one end, while the other end is used to install the cylinder head and is locked with a nut. This protects the engine block threads and facilitates repeated disassembly and assembly during maintenance.

In high-temperature and high-pressure environments such as chemical equipment and pressure vessels, A193 B7 stud bolts are widely used due to their excellent tensile strength and corrosion resistance.

Furthermore, in pump and valve manufacturing, fully threaded stud bolts, with their full-length thread design, allow for flexible adjustment of the connection length, ensuring the interface remains tight and stable even under high-pressure fluid impact.

In steel structure construction, stud welding technology directly welds studs to steel components for connecting lightweight steel keel partition walls, achieving efficient and environmentally friendly prefabricated construction.
