Storage Conditions For Stud Bolts

Stud bolts should be stored in a dry, moisture-proof, rain-proof, and dust-proof environment. They should be stored separately on well-ventilated, dry shelves, avoiding contact with corrosive substances and preventing thread damage.

Specific storage conditions are as follows:

Environmental Requirements: The storage environment should be well-ventilated and dry. The relative humidity should ideally not exceed 60%, and the temperature should be controlled between 5℃ and 35℃ to prevent rusting or performance degradation due to moisture or high temperatures.

Separate Storage: Store according to type and specifications, with clear labeling to avoid mixing and misplacement.

Stacking Standards: Store on shelves. When stacking in their original boxes, each stack should not exceed 1.5 meters in height, with the bottom layer at least 200mm off the ground. Sufficient ventilation space should be left between stacks.

Packaging Protection: High-strength bolts should be individually packaged and placed in sturdy cardboard boxes. Keep the packaging intact during transportation and storage. Welded studs and similar bolts should be sealed in rust-proof bags and should not be opened before use.

Rust prevention measures: VCI vapor phase rust inhibitor bags can be used for sealing, effectively isolating moisture and extending the rust prevention period.

Regular inspection: It is recommended to inspect quarterly to promptly identify and treat rusted, contaminated, or damaged bolts and studs.

Storage period: High-strength bolts with guaranteed torque coefficients should generally not be stored for more than 6 months from the date of production. After this period, the torque coefficient or preload must be retested and deemed合格 (qualified) before use.
